➡ Step 1: Select the right fabric To make the brilliant colors of Fabric Fun® Pastel Dye Sticks stand out, choose solid white or light colored fabrics. Fabrics such as cotton or silk are ideal. Avoid those made of 100% synthetic fiber such as nylon. Such fabrics may not withstand the temperatures of ironing of or absorb the colors as well.
➡ Step 2: Wash out the starch All starch must be removed from the fabric so the colors can be absorbed by the fibers and not wash out. Dry the material and iron it to produce a smooth surface. For best results, stretch and pin the fabric to a piece of cardboard or press it firmly and evenly against a smooth, hard surface such as a desk or table.
➡ Step 3: Application Apply Fabric Fun® Pastel Dye Sticks to the fabric with even strokes in one direction only to assure a smooth, unbroken layer of color. Various shadings can be produced by rubbing different colors with your finger tip and blending then together. If you make a mistake, wash immediately.
Note: Pentel cannot guarantee that the colors will be removed completely from natural material before the dyes have been fixed using an iron.
➡ Step 4: Making color permanent Once you are satisfied with your design, cover it with a piece of paper and press it with a hot iron to set the dyes. Now your design is permanent and washable.
➡ Etape 1: Sélectionner le bon tissu Afin de faire ressortir l’éclat des teintes obtenues grâce aux bâtons de colorant pastel Fabric Fun®, choisissez un blanc pur ou des tissus de teinte claire. L’idéal est d’utiliser du coton ou de la soie. Evitez les tissus composés entièrement de fibres synthétiques comme le nylon.Ces tissus ne résistent pas aux températures du repassage ou absorbent mal les couleurs.
➡ Etape 2: Laver l’apprêt Il est nécessaire d’éliminer totalement l’apprêt du tissu afin que les couleurs soient bien absorbées par les fibres et qu’elles ne se délavent pas. Séchez le tissu et repassez-le pour obtenir une surface lisse. Pour un résultat optimal, étirez et épinglez le tissu sur un morceau de carton ou pressez-le fermement et uniformément contre une surface lisse et dure, par exemple sur un bureau ou une table.
➡ Etape 3: Application Appliquez les bâtons de colorant pastel Fabric Fun® sur le tissu par touches régulières dans us seul sens afin que la couche de couleur soit uniforme et sans rupture. Il est possible d’obtenir des ton variés en frottant les différentes couleurs du bout du doigt et en les estompant ensemble. Si vous faites une erreur, lavez immédiantement.
Remarque: Pentel ne garantit pas l’élimination complète des couleurs sur le tissu tant que les colorants n’ont pas été fixés au fer à repasser.
➡ Etape 4: Fixer définitivement les teintes Lorque vous êtes satisfaid de votre dessin, recouvrez-le d’un morceau de papier et repassez-le au fer chaud pour fixer les colorants.Votre dessin est maintenant indélébile et lavable.
